Pretty decent laptop! And the fact that it's a HP makes it better in my book. For some reason I've always like the quality of HP business-class laptops.

With respect to the RAM yea I'd have gone with 6 or 8 gb if it were an available option. Does it need it? Probably not today but Win 7 64-bit supports it and a year or two down the road it'll likely come in handy.

That RAM can handle most things, it's clocked at 1066 mhz, that's fast.

Nice laptop, man.

Yep no problems running any of my Adobe cs5 programs. Premiere is sooo much faster than my old core2duo

And I originally wanted a 17" but apparently compusa didnt have any left =( (at least within the work budget lol.. or mine for that matter!) So I opted for power over display. It has HDMI so that kind of makes up for it.

Lush laptop, wish I had your graphics since I don't have it on this one. Else the specs itself is quite close to each other. Sitting on a Lenovo T410 myself, this is the thinkpad series (business).

Yeah if I don't go business class I end up tearin' them up pretty good. It would be nice if work paid for a toughbook :) But this HP probook is purty darn nice. I haven't benchmarked the graphics card yet but it runs cs5 photoshop extended pretty easily.

Is it a business grade machine, I didn;t see the model of it. I always gave my HP/Compaq reps a hard time when they would put a home model into the small business category because I knew it would cause problems later on when that small business expected business class support for it (I was a service center).

Thats mine :)

Built-in 27-inch (viewable) LED-backlit glossy widescreen TFT active-matrix liquid crystal display with IPS technology
Resolution: 2560 by 1440 pixels
2.93GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 processor with 8MB level 3 cache; supports Hyper-Threading and Turbo Boost
ATI Radeon HD 5750 graphics processor with 1GB of GDDR5 memory

Last time I checked that's not a laptop :thinking::thinking:

If your proud of that being your main box, you'd cry if you saw my workstation.
