did anyone try slayher 1.6 kernel? not the LFY 1.6 but slayher 1.6. 1200mhz to be exact. it gave me 2 random reboots last night when my battery was at 10%. also today it seemed to be overheating in my pocket and battery life dropped to 60% within 2 hrs. i used it a bit to browse, updated a few apps, and listened to music for about 20 min only. i took out my phone from my pocket a little later and it was really hot.

this happen to anyone else? i switched over to LFY 1.6 1200 for now to see if it'll make a dif. i tried chevy1.2ghz ULV for a little while before that, because that was working the best for me with BB0.4, but i think i got too used to the smoothness of the interactive governor to switch back to ondemand. :p

This is precisely the kernel I'm using and I have yet to experience what you're talking about here. In fact, the Chevy 1Ghz ULV sent my phone into a tailspin on my way home from work yesterday. It just kept rebooting regardless of what app I would use. Restored my initial BBv05 backup and then flashed this kernel and it has been smooth sailing ever since. I've uninstalled SetCPU and let the ROM drive the kernel and its performed considerably better than when I had SetCPU doing it...

The market is not loading anything. I was running fine with this since moment of release but this morning I can get into market but it shows no app. Not mine or the markets. Is the market having problems or it is me? Thanks

edit: cleared cache and force stopped the Market app. Now all is back to normal. Hope this is not a bug that keeps happening.

I'm also having the Market issue. Also can't get my Weather Widget Donate to work. Just says N/A. And I'm def not a fan of the auto-brightness and have no idea why anyone would think that's a better option unless you lived in a tree.

Oh one more thing, I can't get a single kernel to take other than the stock one. Not that the stock is bad by any means, mind you. I don't know if that has anything to do with the smart automatic overclocking, but I haven't had this issue since I first got on Froyo. And that was BBv.1

EDIT: Was able to install slayher's newest kernel through ROM Manager.

so far i havent fashed a kernal that hasn't worked and i have tried several. there is a fix for the brightness setting though so it isn't an issue for me anymore. but i use pandora a LOT:(

Yeah, saw that. But it was late at night and I'm sick, seemed too intensive, so I just said fk it. I just turned off the auto and set it all the way down.

I did not read this whole thread, sorry.
Market wont load anything at all. Back to UD8 :( Aside from that ( and I am a big BB fan, especially when it was 2.1) I thought it was crazy that I had to manually check off sync contacts and gmail. Never had to do that with any other ROM.

I always do triple wipes on ROM changes, and I installed BB with a theme and stock kernel, then wiped again and tried it with stock kernel and bare BB, and the market didn't work in either case.

It did seem very snappy, but I had no apps because I couldn't redownload TBu to restore my apps.
:(

did you let your phone reboot on its own before touching it? i ask this because v0.5 restores apps for you. it didnt restore all of mine but it did reinstall some of them at least.

OK, maybe GLD can help or any body out there!!! I downloaded bbv.5 and now i can't get anything in the market, can't reboot and get into my back ups, and i'm stuck!! I love bbv.4 but i don't know about bbv.5. Can anyone help?!?!

Go into Settings>Manage Applications, in the All tab, scroll down to Market and clear data and cache. It might take a minute, but that should clear it up. If that doesn't work, what's worked for me every time is booting into recovery and wiping just the cache partition (NOT data).

Is there not an option to reboot or reboot into recovery from the screen that pops up when you push the power button? or am I just missing something??

I don't suppose you could go hold your power button and try it before asking? d:
If you do that, you'll find out that there isn't any such options :)
launcherpro isnt showing up in the market for me.

Shows up fine for me.

I had the market issue also. I cleared cache and cleared data then the market asked me to agree to the terms. Bam worked like a charm! all apps are available now
