Root *** Benefit of Rooting Moto Cliq ***

I have rooted my Cliq a few months ago after asking that same question...

There is a 2.2 ROM out but its in a very early stage of dev. There are a few really good 2.1 ROMS available that are based off the 2.1 beta kernel released by moto a few months ago (same one you can flash w/o rooting). I love being able to root, you have access to the speed increase of modded roms, terminal access to your phone. Rooting with flashing a modded rom have made my phone a lot more fun to use than when I was stuck with cupcake..

Dont forget- you get google nav, updated market, and the overall 'awesomeness' that is associated with eclair :)

Hope this helps with your question

What about uninstalling the list of crap programs that always seem to run i.e. myFaves, Amazon MP3, Happenings, IM, MySpace, google Talk, Shazaam, and TeleNav. Those are taking up memory and they run randomly for me. I have never opened any of these and I'm not sure what some of them are so I want that limited memory back.
