not receiving texts

I am only NOT receiving text from a blackberry curve. I have received text from otherblackberries and other verizon/non verizon phones.
Anyone have any thoughts on why. I have handcent BUT it is working very fast and fine w/ other phones

had this same problem this weekend with my sister who has a blackberry curve. she did a battery pull and I am now receiving texts.

Also, she had my old blackberry pin still stored in my contact record on her phone so she deleted that first, no idea if that had something to do with it or not, as this problem just came out of the blue recently.

It shouldn't. The PIN is used for PIN messaging but not for SMS/MMS.

I will try that. My question is were you receiving text from other phones but not the curve? Thats whats happening with me.

i was having the same issue with my wifes texts (not that I'm complaining) i spoke to verizon, they said it was an update for the blackbery curve that if the number has a 1 in front of the area code it causes issues with texting. she removed the one and deleted the conversation thread and it worked.
