Why a Behold II?

Hey guys, just wondering what INSPIRED you to purchase your BHII.

I purchased it knowing I wouldn't be getting the 2.1 update. See, I'm on the AT&T network, and about a year and a half ago, was talked into buying a BB Curve 8310 (what a piece of crap btw). A year later, being so fed up with the phone, I bought a used BHII from a friend who got T-Mob to send him a MyTouch3G because of the whole 2.1 upgrade BS.

Despite the phone not being the best around, I must say that I love it more than any other phone I've ever owned.

So, what's your BHII story?

Only reason I purchased and still on the BH2 because it is the only tmobile branded android smart phone that has wifi, gps, camera with led flash that allows the use of tmobile's unlimited data web2go $10 plan and even the $5.99 tzone plans and access 3G on tmo's network

I would get the nexus as it is the only other like that (although not tmo brandeD), but it does cost more.

if i didnt mind paying $30 a month for data I would've left the BH2 long ago for the mytouch slide (which i did have but sold when I found out $10 data doesnt work), or the upcoming G2

I use to be on ATT also, they raped me with their prices and crap network. I even had corporate discount and when switching to tmo, im still saving without any type of discount applied yet.

I upgraded for "free" with a new 2yr commitment just to try out an Android phone. I've been very impressed with it, except when using it as a phone. (I easily hit the wrong button and cut people off.)

Same reason for me. Free upgrade and I wanted to play with Andorid. Didnt care about the 1.6 only as it was free. I use a vibrant now but still use my BH2 for rooting and playing around. Loved the camera capabilities on it.

I needed a new phone, and on the day that I checked Craigslist, the BH2 for $100 was the best deal. I barely did any research on it and I had no idea about the update/battery/interface problems.

After the first few days, I was so frustrated with the phone that I didn't even consider it usable. But then I started installing some custom ROMs, and that pretty much fixed everything. The interface is way better, and my battery life went from less than 1 day to over 3 days. Now I feel like I got a really good deal for $100.

$100 is still a bargain. It is still the best android camera on T-mobile IMO.

it was extremely affordable. and even if it's poorly supported, it's still a smartphone, and still does a lot of cool things. I'm not interested in a data plan (WIFI. DUH.) and didn't want to renew a contract, so ebay was the way to go, and I'm just not willing to pay $500 (or even $300) for a phone. the BHII was a good fit, and still is. it does what I need it to do, and I like it.
