Task killer + battery boost


Is it safe and good to use task killer and batter boost? My battery life is very short. After i loaded the BATTERY BOOST in - this apps shown 3 tabs.
1. Monitor
2. Preference
3. Kill Task
- the battery stayed for long time but i see many people say dont use these ... Please explain.

Task killers are generally useless and can cause more trouble than they're worth. Android itself is designed to handle task killing when it becomes necessary. The only time a task killer needs to be used is when you have to deal with an app that isn't behaving properly.

As far as battery life goes, I've never known of an app that effectively prolongs battery life. Some people like JuiceDefender - battery saver - Android app on AppBrain, but I won't use it because I don't like the trade offs (such as shutting down the data connection) it presents.

For battery savings, turn the screen brightness down to an acceptable level for general use when on battery power and turn WiFi and Bluetooth off when not needed. GPS could be included, though I've seen comments that it doesn't affect battery life that much if no app is actively using the GPS.

FAQ: Why You Shouldn’t Be Using a Task Killer with Android

For speedy access to various phone settings like Wifi, Bluetooth and GPS, I like Quick Settings.
