Help stop crying and grow up 2.1 will come

everybody has complains and cry and bash alot s,ericsson well im kind of mad about this delay and lack suport( i never been a big s,e, fan i was more nokia until they stuck with symbian) but more from curiosity than anger i wait for 2.1, I need to tell that im very happy with the x10, its an amazing phone even with 1.6 os, automatic flash would be good, direct dial , save contacts to sim, hd video rec. but overall this phonedo all that i want , im in love with the browser, and big screen, sony e, seems not caring about people complains, i expect a good surprise with the update, WELL HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE X10 USERS ARE PISSED OFF WITH ANGER AND THEY SAID THEY ARE GOING TO PUT THEIR PHONES ON EBAY TODAY I SEARCH FOR THEM AND I DONT SEE THOSE PHONES THERE,, SO stop crying and remember is just plastic we are fighting for,, in the past we never expected updates, so nobody made promises to me, i bough this as it is 1,6, wich is amazing stable, only one with no restarts, only one opening hotmail atachments videos photos powerpoints etc. what more can i want.. multitouch? jeje naah it isnt practical, use 2 fingers to zoom, i dont want to compete with iphone boring phone.

As Jackx10 says, very stable phone the x10 is, why having multi touch?... useless to me, and 16M colors... (ah... i want it cause the phone can do it)... is like complaining about a car
(my car can do 120mph but locked @108... i want it to be able to hit 120)
this tells me that everyone who complains are kids that always had whatever they asked their parents...
Grow up a lil, yes the phone is expensive, yes it's outdated, but still i checked other phones on the market before buying it... and it was the best "bang for buck" i found... not perfect but excellent 8.1 mega-pixel camera, decent speaker, microphone (even if i had to search for them when i picked the phone in my hands the first 5 minutes)
one of my friend has a Desire, fun toy, MT, 16M colors... same cpu as ours, more ram, android 2.1 or 2.2 (i don't care about the OS honnestly) all i want is a quality built smartphone and i have it

just tell me if you find another smartphone that is truly better send me one i'll test it against the xperia... untill then take your pills and relax

It's all good for me because I will be getting the HTC Desire HD in 2 weeks and use my X10 as back up.

The X10 is outdated now but it's still a very good phone, luckily I work and can afford these new gadgets easily.

I think its funny,all these people on the sony product blog wanting to sell there xperias and some even asking what legal grounds they have to sue SE. ya it sucks its not here,but losing the plot all together is not needed!

Just plugged into SEUS and it is updating, downloading 142.9MB right now.

well.. i don't either care about the update, as long as the phone is usable and give a decent battery life (wich it does now with 020), i'll be just fine.

It could be worst, like the nexus One who went out of the shelves only 7 months after release

well after i upgrade to 026 my phone get better than ever, if you look at my avatar it reads more than 2 days of battery life,heavy use, , and turning off autoupdates on facebook and other last more, this phone is the best i had from looks and apps, as i said before i dont use my laptop .. almost... m curios for the update but not dying and coursing sony e, im enjoing 1.6 as it is, everything else is free and adition to the phone i choose..

Well, I've grown up, stopped crying and sold the X10 and bought a phone that I can actually use as a phone.
Maybe I was unlucky and got a dodgy phone with crap call volume, crap battery life, etc but one thing I do know is that a lot of people have been Scre*ed by SE.
I personally will *never* buy another SE phone - It's not so much the delayed update as the (perceived) total and utter contempt for their customers - Either they've never heard of that problem (at customer services) or they just can't be bothered to answer a perfectly polite email to them, It happened with my colleague's X1 (now running a custom ROM) and, judging by various forums, virtually every SE phone since the K800i

It's a real pity because SE do make some fantastic looking and well built phones which are then crippled by the lack of investment in the software side of things.

Again folks, I see why you like/love the phone but personally, I don't get on with it.

i personally think the x10 could be a great phone, but alas SE is not the company to make it great.
could i add that another kick in the teeth is that the x8 will ship with 16m colours, this is after SE has clearly stated that the x10 is unlikly to get 16m in the 2.1 update.
i personally believe that the x10 has either some software or hardware issues SE cant fix and thats the reasons for all the delays and broken promises.

I don't think the problem for SE will be people selling their phones now, the problem will be in 2-3 years when those same people, still pissed, will simply not look at the SE offering.

I think SE underestimated the response they would get from the Android community; Android isn't like any other phone, lots of people buy it because the system is open source, and expect the carriers and manufacturers to stick to that ideology.

If SE can put more resources and understand what Android users want, they'll be the next big hit.

I pretty much agree with the prevailing forces, but we on AT&T are still using R2CA016. So while you all are enjoying the bug fixes from the Launch of the phone, we are still sitting here 3 firmware updates behind you. Meaning, NOTHING has been fixed! Battery life = BAD, Call volume=WEAK, etc, etc.... Plus, to add some icing on the cake, while you will hopefully start to see 2.1 during the first week of Nov, we will probably be lucky to see it during the 1st Qtr of 2011. So yeah, we are a tad PO'd and I believe rightfully so...

well i can ask .. why at&t lock those updates^? when i update to 026 call volume increased noticeable, battery life has a big improvement, i recoment you turn off 3g when not using it, and turn off automatic updates, i have no bugs not even before update, good luck

Jack, after reading your posts since you joined I honestly do think you have the only X10 ever made that was built and works how SE intended

Even rooted on 026 I still have the same battery lif that I had with 023, around 14-16 hours if Im lucky and yes I do all the usual battery life saver settings.

well letmetalk to you honestly, at first i notice battery on 3g and stand by drained my battery but now you can look at my avatar,im proud obtaining 3 days, i hate the camera flash 4presses to activate, i hate 120 secs bluetooth, the first week was awfull but aftet visit market a few times and updates myx10 become powerfull and never restarted itself all my past phones use to hang and i have to detach battety. its not perfect but indeed the best for my needs ,excuse my english please

hmm, i love my phone too.. apart from the screen, when i use a picture for a contact and they ring. The image goes all fuzzy.... and no skype..
but apart from those.. It's very stylish
