I had the battery cover off my phone while restoring a nandroid and dropped my phone and the battery fell out and now it sticks at the M logo. Do I have to sbf? I was running P3Droid 2.3.15 update so i would assume I would still use the old sbf since im not on the ota. Hopefully theres an alternative because I have a Mac cpu and there is no clear direction or a easy way to do it on a mac. Thanks

Lulz. Why would you do anything with your battery cover off?? That's like having unprotecteed sex with some lady you never met. A huge risk.

I honestly would try to see if a nandroid backup would work first. Go into recovery and boot from there.

If you cant make progress from that then flash an SBF. I believe P3 version doesn't update the bootloader. So you should be fine.

But if that doesn't work either bring it to Vzn.

Don't take your battery cover off again dude. There's no benefitting from it.

Edit. Forgot you were on mac. Go to a friends house and use his computer for a while. And charge your phone to a 100% to be safe...with the cover on

Well basically I I used root manager to reboot when i really meant to boot into recovery so I didnt feel like waiting for a reboot. I then pulled the battery so it would boot into clockwork then did a restore and it happened. It won't boot into clockwork recovery anymore.so I cant do a restore. I'm sure if i took it back to Verizonwouldnt they know it was rooted?

no just sbf it with the 2.2 sbf

I will have to find somebody with a PC, but to think about I tried to do it one time and kept getting an error on my brothers and it wouldnt work for crap when I was prepping for the OTA. Unfortunately my brother and I are not in the same state though so I cant use his at this time. By the way are sure I would use the 2.2 sbf and not the old? I was on P3droids leak not the OTA. Thanks

you can sbf that. Can you boot to the boot loader? I think its camera+volume down+power. if you can you should be able to use the 2.1 sbf.

VZW won't know sheet they just turn it on see its stuck and send you a new one. If you do it over the phone they don't even do that. Heck tell'em the OTA update did it.

But you should be able to fix it yourself

I do it all the time its pretty well snapped in there. I can't figure out how it coukd fall out my guess he didn't put it in fully.. I have to really pull on that tab to get mine out and have no fear of it falling out.
