Is 2.73.1100.5 the newest Hero Rom?

So ...numbers behind "2.73" are only provider specific or what?

Is 2.73.1100.5 the latest ROM Ican have on my Hero or is that the 2.73.405.5

Can anyone tell me what is the newest please?

Your "firmware version" is your phones latest OS version. That number you isted above looks to me like your radio, which would be carrier specific. So if your trying to find out if your phone is running android 2.73, the answer is no. But I did read that yu should be getting one soon, which would be 2.0 or 2.1 I suppose.

I was not talking about the firmware version though, but about the ROM ...
Settings-about phone-build number : 2.73.1100.5 ...

Just wanted to know if I can update to a newer one or not, I heard something about speed improvements etc. My problem is I do not know what the latest one is... But as you said the new firmware version 2.00 (when it comes out) will certainly do a lot more improvements (visually and speedwise) hope so at least

No, 1.5 is the latest. HTC are currently developing an update for 2.1 however.
