Help Normal for phone to get warm?

My FN gets pretty warm up by the camera area, with lots of use or
heavy app downloading. Is this normal since or ??
Warm is subjective. Try downloading an app which gives you an objective temp reading. Equally true other apps give you battery temp. In cases [most cases I think] its the battery which is the culprit. But its good to know both. For cpu temps try TempMonitor[Lite-Free] and for battery good grief pick anyone they all seem to have temps BatteryWatch, Batteryminder.

Isn't TempMonitor lite just for uses who are rooted?

I'd love for you to quantify warm with an actual temp reading. Perhaps I just have a cold phone :D
Took me a second to realize FN is FasciNate. A lot of us have been calling it SF, like D1, D2 or DX but whatever.

You have to be rooted for temp monitor lite. I really don't want to root
at this time, so not sure of how else to check it. My friend on here says
the CPU is right under the camera, which is where it gets warm. The
battery doesn't really seem to get warm to me. When I say warm, I
don't mean unbearable, just not cool anymore. :)

I know what you're talking about. But Saps is right--warm is subjective. Coming from a Droid 1, even when overclocked (properly) it didnt get quite as "warm" as the fascinate running stock.

But again, the only time I've noticed the heat variance is, like you said, with heavy app downloading and such.

I don't think its anything to worry about. Eventually, the phone will drop back to a cooler temperature.

If and when you decide to root your phone, make sure you get Spare Parts. There's an option in the app that lets you choose how your 'end button' functions. I set mine so that the phone goes to sleep when the screens off. I've found this very effective in cooling down the device.

Hope this helped!
