Help Bricked? A home screen love story.

So the other day I made a pretty noobish mistake.

I hit the factory data reset button. This may not seem like such a bad thing, but it quickly turned into collosal failure when it failed to get past the ANDROID load screen. I let it sit overnight thinking it was just held up. I awoke to find it continuing where it was like no time had passed. I looked around here to see if there was anything I could do and found a post that mentioned pressing volume up+home+end. I tryed it, it worked! My excitement was short-lived although intense. I soon realized my phone would never get out of setup because I have no launcher, I had deleted the defaults and failed to restore them thinking it wouldnt be a problem.

So here is my question to you: Is there a way to install a launcher without having a launcher?

Please help me complete this love story I miss my phone terribly. :(

I'm not sure anyone can understand my level of excitement right now, I know my family is giving me strange looks. I have figured out how to get into settings without a launcher. As I was playing with it holding different buttons in different combonations I managed to activate voice dialing, on a whim I said to my phone "open settings" and was prompted with "Open Application Settings" with the choice of "OK" and "Cancel" I eagerly pressed OK and felt a surge of joy the likes of which I have never felt. I will update if I make any further progress.

Can you post detailed instructions on how to do this, or possibly direct me to where I can find them?

Well i just tried this and adb push will not work because you will get permission denied when trying to push to /system/app or /data/app.

Now if you have a custom recovery flashed it would be possible to move the launcher2.apk from your sdcard to the phone using adb shell.

how about using the voice command to "open market" and then installing another launcher? (launcher pro, ADW, Zeam etc etc)
I like the way you think, but I had to activate another phone so I would have something to use until I managed to fix this one. So no market.

I do not. It seems we have hit another dead end. :(
