Root Rooting And Rooms On Eris

Alright so let me give you some bg information first. I purchase my Eris when it first came out and I have not been playing around with it too but not Im really just about 2 months away from being able to upgrade so I thought it would be a good time to start really messing with it.

Yesterday I installed gscript lite and did the easy root from the phone process which was a success..props to those guys. After that I installed Rom Manager and installed xtrROM and xtrSense. Both are pretty cool but I do like xtrSense just cause it looks more like a complete UI. Here is the question part :)

What ROM or program can I use that will allow me to save my apps to the SD cards instead of my internal memory like 2.2 and will also allow me to remove all that junk that usually comes with the Eris like Footprint, Peeps, Stocks and so forth?
I have always had issues with the internal memory of this phone and Im hoping that rooting plus adding a rom or an app will allow me to keep more available memory on my device cause this phone lacks on it big time.

Thanks for help in advance

Depending upon what version of the XTR (either ROM or Sense) that you're using, the answer on how to move you apps to the SD card is different, so we'll need to know that first. But if you'll carefully read the entire first post in the XTR thread on the XDA forum (where you most likely download the ROMs in the first place) you'll find the answer that there. Just know that either one of those ROMs have the ability to move apps out of the internal memory on the phone. BTW, I'm assuming you want to MOVE your apps to the SD card as opposed to SAVE them them. (the difference in my mind being that 'moved' apps are still in use and 'saved' apps are backups).

As for removing the 'junk' apps off your phone, the easiest way that I've found to do this is Titanium Backup. Bring up the list of apps on your phone, select the one you don't want and press the 'uninstall' button. However before you start doing this I'd suggest that you make a nand backup of your phone. That way if unintentionally remove an app that the system needs you can easily get back to a known good backup of your phone.
Titanium Backup, not surprisingly, will back up your apps also. So you might also consider doing a full backup of your phone. That way if you need to bring back just one app you can restore it using TB, rather than doing the whole nand restore bit.

I got the file from a friend at work so i havent been to their site. But yes, i want to move them to my sd card so that i can use them from there not to back them up. I was also thinking of getting cyonegenmod (sorry about the spelling) because i noticed that the keyboard runs a little buggy on my xtrsense version which i believe is 4. 5

Thanks for the backup app tip btw
