hi there,here's the news

Google Translate

Vanguard of the new products next year, is code-named Legend (Legend) in Android phones.
。
It is understood that, Legend for the second half of the top-selling follow-up hero machine models, the screen will be upgraded to the AMOLED, CPU clock is increased to 600MHz, that's what HTC plans to next year's show the world's largest mobile communications focus of MWC display products.

In addition, expected in January next year, the first in the U.S. market 1GHz of Android phones Passion, HTC also plans to put on in April next year, HTC Sense of the man-machine interface to the name Bravo by T-Mobile in Europe. (News source: Business Times ─ Wu Xiaowen / Taipei)

it's so exciting to read that the bravo isn't the Passion
i wanna large screeeeeeeeeeen!

2010 - January - Passion (America)
2010 - April - Bravo (Europe)
2010 Q1 - Legend
8 specs in the first half year of 2010
5 will be carried the android system
3 will be carried the WM

The whole Bravo thing came out of one idiot who going off a Tmobile catalog proclaimed only those phones in the tmobile category would get made. Then everyone else repeated what he said instead of what he presented.

+1 i have been looking at all these re-post and thinking what are these people thinking? im glad some people here still have a brain and can read not just look at pictures(although they are nice)

Don't get me wrong, except for the physical keyboard, i loved my Droid. It would just suck to have gotten the Droid only to be blown out of the water a month or two later by the Passion. Ill try to wait and see how things develop and if i have to wait to long, ill just go back to the Droid. Let be honest i cant stick with my S1 knowing the Droid or something better is out there ;)

I want this to be right so bad. I took my Droid back within the 30 day return window and went back to my Storm1. I ******* HATE IT. lol

+1 I took my droid back and am using my BB curve again and it sucks. I really wish the droid had a better keyboard cause I would have kept it if it did.

+1 I did the same as well, hard to go back to storm1

WOW guys...that's exactly why I didn't go get the Droid. I knew if the Passion wasn't released befor the 30 days that would be the only way out and I couldn't handle being teased like that...LOL

I'm encouraged to hear evidence that the small-screen Bravo is not the Passion that we've all been waiting for. I've been imagining this phone for so long that I can almost picture it in my hand - I'm nuts about the purported 4.3 inch screen, which will make the slide-out keyboard (which I originally thought I needed) unnecessary.

However, what about this Digitimes article recently re-posted by Engadget? Their "industry source" claims that the 1GHz Passion coming early 2010 will have a 3.5 inch screen. What!?!

I realize that these "sources" aren't necessarily reliable (especially when the article attaches no source specifics whatsoever) but I trust Engadget and Digitimes?

If HTC isn't about to release a 4.3 inch, 1GHZ Android phone as the Passion - they better get to back to the drawing board quickly now that we're all more or less depending on its existence!

Guys I really don't think its shaping up to be 4.3. There are way more things pointing to 3.5/7. If the phone is gonna be released in Jan. a lot of Verizon/T-mo testers should have it now. That's where I think these new surge of reports are coming in. One thing I know about Verizon testers from having a BB and seeing the countless number of software leaks is that Verizon testers are bad at keeping things under wraps. When Verizon gets it, the net gets it. If I'm right in the next week we should see many more photos and specs popping out all over.

OK i realize people want a nice big screen, but isnt this a phone? I'm like the rest of you, I don't just make phone calls and text. I surf, watch videos, look at pictures, play games, and do all the other great things that DROID DOES!. But I also need this thing to fit in my pocket. If it is 4.3 inches, that means the phone is going to be Huge! I guess its just me but i would rather know it has the 1GHz snapdragon, lots of RAM, a big SD card, and all the other usual bells and whistles. But i guess the bottom line is every one is looking for something different.

HD2 is only 5 mm taller, 3 mm wider, -2 mm wider (YES, actually THINNER), and only 2 grams heavier than my BB Storm with a FULL 1 INCH more display.... Does it start to make more sense where I'm coming from. I'll take that over anything right now. You would barely know the difference!! Have you ever seen it next to the iPhone? It's not much bigger at all!!

Its staggering to me that Verizon wont be releasing a new HTC device before Christmas. Its just a missed opportunity for them in my book. Letting Motorola get more Droid sales for the holidays and giving up traction isnt the smartest strategy.

When you think about it, it is though. They had a marketing campaign with Moto and needed to stick by it. Moto's goal was 1,000,000 handsets sold. last time I checked they were around 800,000. By waiting and letting moto try to get their million mark then they can tell them to piss off, so to speak. This way those that can not/will not wait will cave, get the Droid and be done with it. My personal take is you will see a ramp up in advertising starting Jan 15th which will be after their return policy extension, then you will see the phone released on the 30th or 31st to ensure everyone who bought it though December is outside of their 30 day window. IMO.

If the Passion though becomes another Droid they can simply switch out the phones in the commercials without too much problems for Verizon. Was Moto's goal for Droid or Droid+Milestone?

IMO, things are heating up. I doubt they would do something like that because of infringement right, and from everything I have read it was Moto's goal for the phone as opposed to milestone. That was supposedly the number they had set to make it cost effective for them to make and get out there.

Also where I live just recently I have started seeing a TON of HTC commercials with each commercial relating to each carrier that has their phones. I find this kinda funny. Not to mention it sounds like HTC is gearing up, not only to really get their names in the public eye even more but to start releasing the big stuff in order to get more sales. Call it a hunch or whatever but I think they are getting ready for the Bravo/Passion/Dragon launch as well.
