I got myself a Samsung Galaxy S.

And decided to sell my Milestone to a guy.

So when hes testing out the phone the Wifi doesnt scan his office Wifi.
It scan EVERY Wifi around us except the office Wifi.
I use my Milestone's wifi all the time. And all the time it scan and detecte all the Wifi.
Infact 30 mins before the sale I was using the Milestone's Wifi at school to find a map to his place.

Weird thing is when I use my Galaxy S to scan Wifi, it scanned all the wifi and his office's wifi too

So does anyone know why my Milestone is able to scan EVERYONE esle wifi except his office's wifi?
It couldnt be hidden because my Galaxy S was about to scan his Wifi.

This is extremely bad luck, because I know my Milestone is in perfect working condition and now he would think I'm scamming him.

I would flash the stock SBF. Your selling it so this way the "guy" gets a brand new stock phone he can customize himself. It then should pick up the wi-fi if the hardware is indeed not broken! ;)

PS or try a hard reset :)

I actually did a resset via the settings --> factory reset thingy.
Then of course I tested everything including wifi at home so it will work.
Again, I had to look for a map to find meeting spot with the buyer, once again used school wifi to do that, everything works fine.

But is kinda weird it scan for EVERY wifi around that area except for his.
I know this because my galaxy s had everything the milestone have except his......

It could be that it's a wi-fi that the phone doesnt support. That's the only thing I can think of.

You could be right about that.
Since most public wifi would support b/g/n my milestone could connect to them.

And it could be a possiblity that the office have wireless N only because they know all their worker would have wireless N product. And of course is a private network.

And it works with the buyer's iphone4 + my galaxy s because they both support wireless n.

Thanks this clear things up.
Maybe I'll go email him again.
