Help EasyTether Connection and static IP

I'm using Easytether on a Samsung Epic 4g ..for the most part it works, though every now and then it drops the connection.

I'm using the Phone/USB connection for external access testing while keeping my primary connection up for work. Yeah, two live internet connections on the same computer on two different browsers.

This works too.. but the frequency of dropped connection is even greater . I think because things are getting crossed.

The description for Event ID 0 from source Application cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

Name resolution for the name somedomain.com timed out after none of the configured DNS



Currently my Easytether connection is set to acquire IP and DNS.

If so, Is it possible to set it to fixed IP/DNS? what should I use for IP, submask and DNS entries?

Unfortunately, your IP is determined by your ISP (your cellular provider and the tower your on). I don't think its possible to have a static IP on a cell phone over mobile data.

Sorry, not a static IP, but a fixed local IP and DNS. Any way to do that without a proxy?

I am trying to use EasyTether and an ethernet internet connection at the same time. How were you able to do this? When I connect through EasyTether, it shuts down the ethernet connection. I want to run both at the same time on two different browsers.
