Root Virus Airborne RC1.1 install help

I recomend using RA, Clockwork is having a hard time wiping the Dalvik. You can flash RA recovery using ROM Manager from the market. Make sure to make a nandroid after flashing RA as the two Nand's are not compatible with each other.
Then in RA go down to wipe and use the first one which should be DATA/Cache, then wipe the dalvik (i usually will do it twice just to be safe) then go back and flash from SD Card, find the Virus ROM and flash, reboot and enjoy being infected with Virus!

*Make a nandroid using clockwork also before getting started so you don't lose anything*

Does this wipe my SD card? like pictures and stuff? I have titanium backup as well. Will I be able to restore my stuff after I load the new ROM?

Just to clarify. Should I revert to my nandroid backup with Clockwork with the base image, then switch to RA and make a backup of my base image? Then I'm good to go and load Virus rom? I'm just confused if you're telling me to make a nandroid of my Fresh 3.3 current ROM with RA or make a nandroid of my stock ROM.

It wont touch your SD but to save the nandroids on it. You personal files and what not will be fine.

If it were me, I would make a nand using clockwork before i changed anything. That way if something goes haywire i can always get back to where i was. Then after that's done using ROM Manager flash over the RA recovery, boot up to make sure everything it's all good, then reboot into recovery, make a nand using RA, then go wipe data, cache and dalvik, then flash from SD and you should be good to go

You have to do a full data wipe to go from Fresh to Virus. It will not touch the sd card and Titanium Backup does restore all of your apps and settings.

Since your current setup isn't working, there is no point of doing a nand. Wipe data, cache and dalvik cache. Then flash the Virus ROM and you are good to go.

Just another piece of info for as you're a bit new to the process.. Clokwork and RA 1.8 recovery files are not interchangable. IE: you can not use RA to load up a clockwork nandroid backup and vise versa.

Thanks, somebody told me that earlier so I ill make sure I keep backups of RA from now on.

Can someone explain to me what the data wipe does? It's a factory reset? But I'm still rooted correct?

Should I pull my battery? How long does this take? I've been sitting here with it loading for 15+ minutes.

Shouldn't take that long...

Here's what I would do.
1. pull batt
2. try letting it startup normally and see if that works (seen this work before)

if that doesn't work
3. recovery mode
4. wipe EVERYTHING manually twice
5. load up rom again

if that doesn't work... i got nothing.

Thanks, I just did the rewipe again and reloaded the ROM and it came up!
