3uk recommend a software roll back!!

Hi all

I have had issues from day one with a poor signal and have posted about it in previous posts.

I was called back from 3 customer services last night and after a lengthy chat about where it was happening etc, he recommended rolling back my software to 1.22.771.1. I am on the latest 2.10.45.2. I told him that I did not want to do this. I am going to Leeds at the weekend and told him I would check the signal strength during the journey and in leeds as it could be a local issue.

My phone is unbranded from CPW so cant understand why he mentioned maybe sending me a different phone or money off my tariff if the issue could not be resolved? This is not an option as I chose phone over network. I didnt go with 3 for any other reason.

I guess I am asking for advice rather than just ranting :(
 
Actually, I did hear someone on a bus in Leeds on the phone to 3 asking if they can get out of their contract due to bad signal. Unfortunately I didn't hear how it played out.

Probably shouldn't have posted it really.

What sort of bars?

The 3 guy did say to me that they didn't want to loose my custom so who knows?

Did they explain why you should roll back the software. I would think its just an excuse.

Also Im not too sure its that easy to go back to an old version of software and cant see why it would make blind bit of difference.

3UK have had a bit of a habit of not ringing me back and fobbing me off on the phone.

I would check up on the 3UK coverage for where you are and if its good then ring up CPW and get another phone or change networks citing this add..Coverage Guarantee - Carphone Warehouse Help
