Root Just rooted now what??

Hey guys I'm sure you here this alot but I just successfully rooted my EVO with unrevoked3 and was wondering what are some good apps and other things I can do now?

Got shoot Me,Titanium backup,and wireless tether and that's about it.

Looking to make my battery last longer and just any cool all around apps.

Install a custom recovery, and go through the HTC Battery Calibration exercise in combination with wiping your battery stats (in recovery).

Awesome, do I have to do the battery thing all the time or just every now and then? Also I don't know much about anything about custom anything so if you could describe what a custom recovery is and battery stats?.

I have already deleted some apps that came with the phone so hopefully that'll help as well.
