Seidio Active +Steinheil save my phone! but...

Have had a Seidio Active case on my phone since i owned it...carry it on my belt in the appropriate clip...

As I was getting my daughter out of the car the other day, the phone caught on something, causing it to tumble out of the clip down to the blacktop....horror!

I found it landing face down...fearfull of what i would find, I picked up the phone and turned it over...

a. no screen cracks...
b. no screen scratches
c. phone(itself) case fully intact
d. however the Active case's "shell" had taken the full blow at the lower right corner, near the kickstand cutout..right at the corner...and caused a crack in the case...


not happy to replace the case for another $24 (seidio offered me 20% off when i called)...but VERY HAPPY my EVO is alive and well!!!!

dissapointed tho that Seidio wouldnt just replace the "outer shell" I dont need to replace the inner silicone peice.

So I would say..the Active case did its job...worth the investment..

Well I don't see the sense in seidio charging you $25 for a replacement which should have been fully covered under seidios basic product warranty seeing as that the incident which caused the break obviously wasn't by reckless means,I know seidios CS can be a little off,but to me that's unacceptable,I woulda got another rep on the line.

agreed...but I am approaching by different means...it is covered by the accidental breakage coverage on my credit card...keep your fingers x'ed...

I already paid and had shipped the replacement...
I am not sure they would credit me at this point..

who is the Seidio rep here on this site, maybe i should contact that member??
