No LED indicator for missed calls and messages?

I tried it and received my first notification. At first, I was like "What the hell is that yellow dot moving around my screen?" Lol When I first touch it, it turns the screen off I think and then you have to turn on your phone again. I wonder... Is the screen really on to show the yellow dot? I wonder how much battery that would drain.

What I noticed with it is that when you hit the power button to put the phone to sleep it actually shuts off the noled functionality so you have to allow it to sleep on its own to keep it functioning. Also, hitting the power button when the noled is flashing will shut it off but not wake the phone. Still figuring it out.

No LED indicator for missed calls and messages? Your kidding me, are we back to the stone age. This is a deal breaker on the best phone I have ever had.
Thats a fairly loose grip on the title of best phone I have ever had then ;). Seriously though there is that aforementioned app. You will likely find...[outside of GPS/reception] any issue you have with the SF there's probably a work-around, if not a flat out solution for it

Forgive me for asking, but, isn't that precisely the kind of "deal breaker" that would've prevented one from getting the phone in the first place? I think it's ok to assume here that you're talking about a hardware LED, so that's why I ask.

Yeah, I'm disappointed about the lack of a LED but this phone just had too many positives that outweighed that 'slight'... in my opinion.

Yeah i agree most people would look into that before getting a phone. but to me i do miss not having a notification but nothing i would not get a phone because.

i dont get the LED thing....my phone is on my hip or on the desk in front of me all day....i will hear it when it goes off alerting me to a new email.....besides, do you really go that long without using your device? i know i dont, it doesnt go 15 minutes without being used whether its pausing/restarting Pandora streaming music, or reading the latest personal email or exchange email or whatever.......i mean, you do USE it like a smartphone right? why would you need a little LED to flash to let you know you have a new message when you are going to see it in the notification bar right away anyways?

and if it's THAT important they will call you....
