Just recently got a captivate, best phone I've had! :D

I recently loaded the froyo 2.2 leak onto my captivate, so far everything has been fine, it doesn't seem faster at all however, and It hiccups every so often. I'm thinking about returning to 2.1, but I have a few questions.

1. How do I go about returning to 2.1  ?

2. What's a good way to backup my apps and settings? My email, calender, and contacts are synced, but last time I had to put all the APKs onto my computer and use the sideloader to load them all...1 at a time...slooowly...

I tried using ASTRO and MyBackup going from 2.1 to Froyo, but I got some error message and It couldn't restore my stuff.

Thanks for the help

Titanium Backup is quite popular. It's what I use but honestly I've not had to do a restore yet nor have I used it with 2.2. But I bet it'd work fine.

I just downloaded it, I'll backup soon.

Just a question, is it possible to backup apps and their individual settings? Because of the whole no "non-market apps" thing on the captivate, how would I get them back on?

well if you have rom manager you can get another app called clockwork recovery mod, which lets you completely backup your phone to a point where even if you brick it you can restore it. but since youre already on 2.2 you probably cant get back to 2.1 using it

i backed up my most important apps and I have my contacts, mms etc. backed up, so I just need any way to get back to 2.1, I heard you could do that with odin?
