Help sound player / music player problem

Hey all,

I'm trying to open up mp3 files from file manager or my files or whatever but it seems to default to "sound player" not "music player" on selection.

I can't seem to find the the setting to clear this out as the default choice, can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Is there a reason you aren't going to music player and just opening your mp3's there

I prefer browsing the filesystem for what i'm looking for.

it works for me. I opened My file, selected the folder with my music in it (in my case /sdcard/media/audio/Rage Against The Machine - Bulls On Parade.mp3) and short clicked it (compared to holding down the selection and getting a different menu of options). It opens up the player and plays, no issues. It is a different player than if I open up the file in music player and I do lose the lock screen functionality, but it plays just the same. This is the same player that plays streamed music from my Dropbox account too. There is no 5.1ch option, just a basic player.

right, thats what i'm saying. I was hoping to find a way to have it open in "music player" with 5.1 etc...

Yeah I just tried this and I get the same thing. At first I thought it was the music player but you are correct it is not there is no 5.1. The menu button does not give an option to change the player.
I think Andre and all us have to deal with it this way going thru the My Files
