Ok, so yesterday, i was thinking that we have not had an update to the very popular Cyanogenmod ROM series in just over a month (1 month and 2 days to be exact), and I thought, since new code has been added, it should be updated to the next stable release. Since Cyanogenmod is an open source project, i decided that I should update to the next stable release if i wanted an update, and this rom was born!

Credits: Cyanogen, koush, kmobs, wesgarner, Chris Soyars, AnderWebs, Elliot Stocker, Cytown, Wysie_Soh, anyone else who has contributed to making CM6 as good as it is.

OK Here is the usual CM6 disclaimer: CyanogenMod is a free, communi - CM6 Info and Disclaimer - z8WDHgDP - Pastebin.com

Some Info on my CM6:
This is my version of CM6 for the inc that i compiled from source. It is a stable release, not a nightly. It has the newest code baked in, so it is android 2.2.1 build FRG83. It has all the CM6 functionalities you will ever need, all inside a stable release.

YOU WILL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE GAPPS FROM http://mirror.teamdouche.net/get/various/gapps-hdpi-20100930-signed.zip

Link: Android ROM Site

PS: This is not my Big Release of the night....this is a side ROM that i made for fun.

Since cyanogen committed the new asop last week and all nightlies have it, how does this differ from any of the recent nightlies aside from the build.prop change to rename the rom

Thats a great question..

Code wise, nothing

It has support, it is a bit more stable, and has more support than the nightlies.

Really, the experimental tag is dropped.

Just curious...but are you accusing the Cyanogen team of NOT supporting their product?

Look, please don't take this the wrong way; but let me offer some constructive criticism.

If you want us to test and install your ROM you need to give us specifics. Everything I have read (over all the threads closed and open) regarding this ROM tells me this is just the CM6 ROM renamed.

Just a couple thoughts; like I said not meant to be taken offensively, just trying to help you out.

There is absolutely nothing different between this ROM and one of the recent nightly. Weather or not the build bot compiles or someone else isn

If you did not change any code, how did you improve the stability? How did you decide the experimental tag could be dropped? You need to explain how this is different than a particular nightly CM6 build. What exactly has been done which justifies re-releasing a full ROM of what appears to be identical to that provided by the original developers?
