Root Ok... how do I remove this bloatware!

I've down the root script and have the 'superuser' app installed. I know how to use ADB, but I keep getting permission denied when I do 'adb shell su'.

How do I remove these buggers! I also tried ASTRO explorer, still denied.

Thanks!

Download yourself root explorer
Go into system
Create a new folder called system/app.disabled
Go into system/app
Select the .apk and .odex files you want to remove
Click move
Go up to the top
Choose the grey folder
Go into system/app.disabled
Click Paste

AS A WARNING, BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU MOVE. HERE IS A GUIDE ON WHAT IS SAFE:

BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET TOO AGGRESSIVE

I removed most of the bloatware. Bing is gone, so is the VZ crap amongst other things. What's strange is that I still have Blockbuster in my app drawer. I went back and took a look in my 'App.disabled' folder and there it was. I took a look a look in my 'app' folder and it wasn't there. Yet, I still see it in my app drawer.

With launcher pro you can hide apps from its drawer so only the stuff you want shows up. Doing this is certainly worth it, as it makes scrolling through your app drawer snapper.

Also, I am just trying this for the first time, so hopefully is doesn't lock up my phone after a reboot, but try to rename this file:

/system/framework/com.blockbuster.lib.obex

from .obex to .bak

I'm restarting now to test this out ...

OH CRAP!!! This TOTALLY screwed up my phone. It won't reset at all. It just displays this Blockbuster icon in the middle of the screen, next to a smiley with the tongue sticking out.

Man, I had NO IDEA removing blockbuster was going to trash my phone so badly!! ARRGGGGG!!!!

Hahah!! Jk! It seems to have worked fine. Phone booted up and is working great, and there is no more blockbuster app, even in the phone's permanent app drawer. Looks like renaming (or moving) both the .apk in the apps folder and the .obex in that other folder will permanently remove blockbuster from your sight!
