Turn phone into tablet to use wtih PC?

Any way to make the phone like an external tablet for a PC? Like, I want to be able to draw by touching your netbook...

Hi yahoowizard, I've moved your thread to the Android Lounge and change the name to something less vague.

Your questions don't seem to be very clear. You can't draw on your netbook if it's not touch sensitive. You can use your phone to control your PC with apps like Gmote or RemoteDroid. Or do you want to control your phone from the PC, then you can use Android Screencast.

I have a somewhat related question.
Here's my logic statement and question:
If the Android OS is Linux based...and you can use Linux as an OS on your PC.....then why can't Android be your OS on your PC?

I'm aware that most people don't have touchscreen PCs...but there could be software add ons to allow for mouse and/or touchpad control.

So, is it possible to have Android as the OS on a PC ???

Oh, those. The nearest to a drawing tablet that I can think of are the apps that roze suggested, but I don't think they will cut it, unless all you want to do is finger painting. IMO, you'll want to get a proper tablet, but gmote is free, so why not give it a go (I don't know remote droid)?

Technically, yes, it's possible. We'll actually be seeing lots of tablets soon, but they are more like the ipad.

The hardware makers are being pretty tight lipped about it. but I know Toshiba are planning something early next year that will have USB ports, which hopefully means you can plug in a keyboard & mouse. I seem to recall that some people have gotten android working on normal computers but I think that was more of a proof of concept thing.

Also, Google are working on a proper computer OS called Chrome OS, which is apparently very like the Chrome Browser & all cloud based, so every time you write a document or whatever, it gets saved on the internet. I think there are Betas available for that, but I doubt Chrome will see the light of day. We are more likely too see more android computers.
