Help Allshare won't stream video/mp3s

I'm trying to use allshare to stream videos/musics from my PC to my Captivate. It finds my PC and all files are showing up, but when I click 'Add to Playlist' on a file, as soon as it goes to the player, I either get:
"Unsupported file type" or
"Sorry, this video cannot be played"

I'm getting these messages for every file type: wmv, avi, mp3, mp4, wav
I know the captivate supports these - if I download the files without trying to stream them, they play fine in the player. But anytime I try to stream, i'm getting those errors. Does anyone know what could be causing this or how I might fix it? (Are there any market apps that work like allshare does that I could try?)

Most of my errors when I started screwing with allshare were from wmc12, not the phone, long story short, it doesn't automatically stream, and it doesn't include most of the modern formats when building libraries. Once I solved that, almost everything streams now, but allshare refuses to even try streaming an .mkv file, if you rename it to avi, it will.

I'm on win7 x64, which I've heard has difficulties, but here's what solved most of my problems.

Enabling streaming (on win 7, if you already have a home network library set up, you can go to Network, click on your media device, and when it opens in wmp, click on share, and go from there.)

installing shark007 codecs, after uninstalling my old ones

Installed the divx pack DivX Plus Codec Pack ? DivX codecs for Windows media player | DivX.com The only reason I added this, is because it changes wmc to allow mkv's in it's library. I later uninstalled it, and retained the function, but that also could have been because of shark007, I kinda threw everything at the wall hoping something would stick.

Unfortunately i'm using PS3 Media Server to stream so windows media center isn't the issue for me. I can stream fine on my PS3 from the computer, but the phone refuses to play the streaming files for some reason.

Well, im trying to view videos I take with my samsumg vibrant phone on my samsung TV via allshare and its impossible. It freezes after one second. I tried different apps and no success. Anyone???? Thanks
