Can't run gmote on Snow Leopard

Hey guys, I can't get gmote to work. I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.4, and I downloaded the snow leopard gmote package, but I still can't connect to my computer. I use the local ip addresses gmote gives me on my laptop (it gives me 2) and neither works. I can't figure out what's wrong! If any1 can help I'd greatly appreciate it. Thx in advance.

Try removing it all and installing it again.

If it still doesn't work then there are a few alternatives.
