So I just exchanged my 1st Epic because the speaker call piece was distorting/crackling at low volume levels and really distorting on high call volumes.
Anyways, the new phone is doing the same thing. It's not a huge deal because I can still hear, its just crackly and annoying.
Anyone else have this issue?

First call I made I heard pops and crackles.
I thought my Epic sucked.
Then I realized it was my girlfriends 10 year old cordless phone on her landline.
I never could hear the poor quality before when calling with a Palm Pre.
I bought her a new cordless.
A friend calls me on his 3g Iphone.
His phone sounds like hell.
Otherwise, the earpiece on this phone is a dream.

Thanks, just ridiculous that 2 phones had same problem!

Coming from Palm and HTC's which have had excellent speaker quality the Samsungs are not quite as nice, but at mid volumes it is ok for me
