Help Any Battery Life Tips???

So i just got my fascinate and my battery life is bad compared to my droid x.

im rooted but when i try setcpu my phone freeze up and a battery pull has to be done.

usually i have to charge my phone halfway through the day.. so is there any tips to help me out??? thanks

Hmm..You really don't need setCPU if you are using a stock kernel.

Here's the best way to save battery:

-No live wallpapers.
-Few to no widgets.
-Screen needs to be on auto brightness.
-Bluetooth turned off.
-WiFi turned off.
-GPS turned off.

I keep GPS/wifi/bluetooth off unless im actually using them. This should help your battery life.

You can try the application "juice defender" which turns off wifi/3g when you're not using your phone. My whole family has noticed a significant increase in battery life...

thanks for the tips... i took off the pandora widget and youtube widget. and decided to use just direct apk's from the app drawer. i noticed the only thing i have syncing in the background is launcher pro facebook widget. also if im home the wifi stays on
i used setcpu on the droid x and it did wonder's but im having trouble on the fascinate. i usually set the profiles also so that could be helping the battery. is there anyway to get setcpu to work??

-turn off haptic feedback

Juice defender is doing the trick.. unplugged from the charger at 5PM and as of 2:26 AM i am at 92% battery life. light text messing and calls. will give a better test tomorrow
