Help "silent" calls

Hmmm, had the same problem still do. Some times no nothing, other times I get my own voice sent back through my speaker. Beginning to wonder if this is a DX problem, originally was blaming Verizon.

Are you using the originial radio firmware? I am on the leaked path so didn't get the radio, bootloader update the OTA came with.

I'm not sure, but right after I got the phone I got the 2.2 update OTA and did it that way.

I had the same problem when my wife called. I did not get disconnected after 10 seconds tho, I hung up after about 30. Called her back about 2 more times, still heard nothing, then rebooted my X and everything was fine after that.

A couple days later I had the same problem, but it was just one call, again with my wife and I hung up and the next call worked fine.

I had a similar problem this evening. I was attempting to make an outbound call and there was no sound whatsoever. So I called my home number to test it out. The phone rang, but no sound on the X. My wife answered and no voice transmission at all. Pulled the battery and it works again (though I stupidly forgot to try a simple reboot first).

Had this happen to me one time. Tried calling my friend a couple times, and nothing from the earpiece or when on speaker. Then he tried calling me, and same thing. So I rebooted, and its been fine since. The day that happened was the first and only time I had used the alarm clock function on the phone, coincidence or not? Anyone else have this problem after using the alarm clock function?

This has happened to me a few times as well - almost always after playing music, either with 3 (Cubed music player) or Pandora. Have to restart the phone or else no once can hear me on a call - I hear them, and hear other phone alerts, but they can't hear me.

I've had this happen to me twice recently as well. I couldn't hear any audio from earpiece or speaker. I'm pretty sure that the callers heard me though.

Rebooted and was fine right after.

Clearly some sort of a problem here.

The after audio thing that laughingmom just posted is interesting. I've been trying to keep an eye out and see if there's something I'm doing just before that's causing this. I suspect there's a trigger of some sort.

Happened again to me today. I was trying to call my voicemail after having a missed call, pressed speaker and had no sound. Tried it again and no sound until I rebooted, then worked fine. I wasn't listening to any audio or watching a video. I did switch the phone to vibrate and back prior to this happening tho.

This drives me crazy and is what brought me to the columns here. I have lost many calls and always have to pull across the unmute button and then check the menu and unmute that too. Royal pain. And now that my voicemail is "upgraded" there doesn't seem to be a possible speakerphone anymore - the only way I can hear messages!
