thinking about getting an android tablet this holiday season. if you are too, which one and why? would i be better off waiting until after the ces in january and seeing what new ones are on the horizon? or just wait for the gingerbread tabs next year? help please.

i thought that the galaxy was only going to be offered in 3g. if there is a wifi only version i'm a happy guy. thanks for the heads up.

I think the Subsidized versions will have WIFI as well, just the fact that you have to buy them on contract and all that.

Read that article on here earlier, I think 399 is kinda high for something on contract, especially since you can get a wifi Ipad for 100 more...

I've only got respect for Apple. By making a device look pretty they can charge twice as much for something with half the functionality.

The post above says it all, even though the Galaxy Tab is superior in almost every way Samsung needs to be competitive with pricing or people will just pick up an iPad.

That's my point, I don't want an Ipad but can't ignore the fact the it would be a cheaper alternative to the Galaxy due to the data plan and msrp.
