Accessories Extended Battery Door?

I just got in my VZW extended battery. It comes with a "raised" door due to the ever so slight thickness difference. Just for giggles, I slid on the original battery cover and it slid right on, no force needed.

Is there a danger in using the original door?

When I got the extended battery I thought I just HAD to keep the slim profile of the original battery door. With all of the mixed opinions regarding yes/no to use the original, I opted to use the door that came with the extended battery. Plus, I feel they created and sent this with a different door for a reason.

I must say that I don't even notice the minimal size difference. I'm keeping the extended door on, it doesn't bother me one bit.

Just my $0.02

yes. it puts to much pressure on the battery which then presses against the back of the screen. this can cause a rainbow effect on the screen and mess with the touch accuracy. also the batter needs a smidgen to breath. i would use the new cover.

Huge +1 Also puts too much pressure on the boards and leads, and remember as the battery gets hot (and it does) it expands. Making matters worse.

Yeah, I always use the extended cover.. UNLESS I have the phone in a case, then I go bare-back literally.... I figure that the ext batt is just about the same sixe as the phone w/the stock door on, so the case will naturally act as a door for holding the batt in.

Not a horrible idea, however if dropped and the case comes apart the battery might come out. again not the worst thing to happen. Might also allow for more cooling of the battery.
