The phone is too damn slippery

I have a glove for it, but a lot of times I get sick of the soft keys being unresponsive and hard to reach, so I take it off (big improvement), but then the phone feels like it's going to fall out of my hand. I just can't seem to have a safe grip on it. It's too skinny and the material doesn't stick to my hand the way plastic or rubber does. But the soft keys are now so easy to press.

I find silicone to be too sticky and be a dust magnet. The Body Glove case is a good compromise between rubbery protection and hand-feel.

That's exactly the problem I have with silicone protectors, they're sort of "gummy" (and a little too "grabby" in a pocket) and the lint problem makes me _crazy_.

That's one reason I gravitated towards the Seidio case - from their website (note the underlined):

Our Innocase II Surface is designed to protect your phone from scratches and drops while barely adding to the size of your phone. Our customers find our sleek design easier to grip than a bare device due to our signature soft touch finish, which enhances the look of your phone and does not attract lint.

I had the same first impression. ..I've been naked for weeks now and I've adapted. I don't even think about it slipping anymore.

Same here with my Fascinate. Coming from the Eris, which was considerably smaller, this device's smooth surface was one of the things I was mulling over as I compared it with the Droid X in the store.

The X lost due to a few other reasons, plus, as you say, adapting to it is easy, especially with only the volume rocker and the power key (not obtrusive or easily activated by accident) to avoid when picking up or handling.
