Shattered Screen Horror Stories...

Well last night I went to see Band Of Horse, it was a great concert btw. Upon leaving I got challenged to a "heel-click" off by my girlfriend. Not wanting to ceed victory I gave it my best and my phone flew out of my pocket and cracked on the sidewalk. Im not too upset I have insurance via sprint (assurant or something like that)...they seem really nice, they said they would send me a new Evo overnight all I had to do was pay my deductible (100). Unfortuantely this morning I cut my hand pretty badly picking up the phone which I thought was funny...so if you shatter your screen be careful!

Screen protector is needed to keep the screen from breaking into sharp pieces and cutting you. And what is a heel-click?
I had an invisisheild on it earlier in the day i removed it as it was messed up due to it coming off in my pocket, i just ordered a replacement earlier that day also....guess it didnt come in time to save me.

So im driving to work. I made a quick call and put my phone on my lap. i get to work, forget that my evo is on my lap, and get out of my car. *crash* I freeze, with my phone laying on the pavement face down. Im thinking "No no. I have a screen protector on. It would never do that.." I lift it up, and there it was. My screen was completely shattered. Luckily everything still works fine. But im going into sprint tomorrow to get a replacement. I cant believe this, I have had this evo since 7am on release day, with not one problem, EVER. I know that with my luck the replacement evo i get will have all the defects you could imagine. But, yea, thats my horror story. Hopefully I dont get stuck with a refurb..

Sorry about your situation, can't imagine how upset I would be [dropped my pre on day one and was furious with myself]. On the bright side, you made it 6 months and in another 6 months you can upgrade to the next new device [Premier status... correct me if I'm wrong]. Hopefully your refurb won't have any issues [pretty sure all replacements are refurb] and will work like a champ as long as you have it.
