I think there are three variations.

Brownish - Seems to be the normal one, as with the original desire. This looks like the one the sim free guys are all selling (expansys, clove, etc)

Black - Someone posted an internal screenshot from orange showing the black one, which i agree is nicest. The original desire black was an orange exclusive so it's plausible this is too.

Silver/Grey - Carphone warehouse claim to have this as an exclusive. Probably will be available similar free. Not sure what it looks like yet.

The black one to me just makes it look super sexy. So i hope there's at least one retailer selling it as black sim-free but i think you're probably right that most of them will be selling dark brown/copper. Just gotta find out if anyone does have the black version.

First off, I apologise for mass one reply to quote everything, but this way it doesn't look like I am spamming lol.

I noticed the order page for T-Mobile has now been edited to say "Please allow 10 days for delivery"

Yeah, a guy at work also pointed it out to me. He didn't order his as he was too sceptical.

took their time to change that didnt they

Only 48 hours ;) lol.

15 days now on mpd we're getting there!

Was like that since Mon :)

Where do you see 15days, I can't see to find it??

See image.

Sorry for the massive arrows..It's late at night and I've lost the will lol.

Looks like it happened to someone else apart from me, I posted over on the T-Mobile forum what happened, someone just replied and said he had the same thing happen to him with the Desire getting sent out, that poor sod missed his mail though and went chasing it to his local post office and got all the way home and realised he has the normal Desire, gutted

Not a good start from T-Mobile, but end of the day, the guys in the warehouse are only human right :)

looks like most retailers selling sim free will be shipping next week. But why not Amazon!!! I have an order with them, yet they're saying another month!

I'm tipping HTC has made limited stock of this handset to create massive demand for it. Nintendo did it with the Wii.

All in all, I think Amazon are looking for suppliers (maybe not tried alibaba yet ;) ) to get them to customers.

The delays are building the excitement up nicely, but I want the party now! lol

Ordered mine at Mobile Phones Direct on September 29 (

Am I to take it, that if I post pics with me having the phone it will be all ok and you will see that I'm telling the truth?
Could you clarify one thing? These pics of you and the phone. Is this something you're proposing to do once the phone has shipped to the general public? If so, what's the point? We could all do it then. If you are not going to get the phone before us - and you haven't suggested you will - what on earth are you going on about?

This truth thing you talk about: we don't believe you have any 'inside information'. How will a photo of you and the HD change that?

i was saying i will will post the pics up, before you get yours, why would i bother posting pics up when its available to the general public? next week im attending a road map for new phones next year, im only interested in android, im getting the Desire HD, but it will only last me 3-4 months, as i will be gooing for gingerbread, Desire HD does not accept that full resoulotion.
