Hi im a new htc desire owner and this is my first android phone. Everything's going good so far, managed to get my gmail up but for some reason it wont let me sign into face book. Is there any vital information u think i should know as well as any must have apps i should download? also is there any way to see my 3g usage easily? i cant seem to find it lol. thanks in advance and please leave any advice u might have for me thanks.

Applications>Market and search for 3GWatchdog, a very useful app for keeping an eye on your 3G usage.

Oh and welcome! :)

if you have skype and msn installed and logged in, they'll increase the battery drain, i'd imagine. you can use the "system" app to stop the applications.. that app is useful for other things as well. people have started to find out that it's not good to use Advanced Task Killer or comparable applications.. but it shouldn't be too bad if you use it only to quit a specific application or two.
