Alright have had the phone since August, and I REALLY like it! :D
The camera is outstanding and addicting that I record every single thing.

My only problem is that I can't view my video on my Computer. Whenever i transfer the videos from my Phone to my Computer, I can't view them! It just shows the Windows Music Player :( I can hear the sound but can't view the video :( Please help!!

For pple like me who watch animes, which are available in a tonne of format in a variety of containers... this is a non-issue coz we usually have all the codecs already installed. so ya.. it's definitely a codec problem.

Either you install the codes (klite, cccp, etc) which will then allow you to play almost any video in almost any player, or you can get some of the players which come with SOME codec, like VLC, KMplayer, etc. I recommend getting the codec method though.

Given that the OP wanted to watch the 3gp videos his Galaxy creates, VLC is probably a safe option. If he had your experience in codec hunting he probaly wouldn't have had any problems with those vids in the first place.

Codec hunting is not a tough thing to do actually. Just like you download a setup and install VLC or any other media player. Similarly you can download a setup and install codecs.

Though a user can definitely try VLC or any other media player also but sometimes it happens that a user may like interface of 1 media player like I like of WMP so I use codecs to watch videos in WMP itself though I also have VLC and Media player classic also installed.

Another solution would be to visit VideoLAN - VLC: Free streaming and multimedia solutions for all OS! and download VLC which is a (totally free) media player capable of showing about a bajillion different video formats right out of the box.

Totally agree ! VLC is a free and easy download to your PC and covers just about any media file you throw at it. Chasing down codecs is a real pain. I'm almost positive VLC can play the video files from the SGS.
Give it a try,....I think you'll like it.

Yes, I can confirm !
I just went and opened VLC on my PC and played a 3gp video file from my SGS....and it also played an avi file from 'Talking Tom'.
