So I've had the HTC EVO for about 3 months now I would say and it was a roller coaster ride. My first EVO i got from Sprint had some screen pixel problems so I sent it back in for an exchange. My 2nd one had dust underneath the screen and was forced to exchange it again. Now i'm on my third one and it was working for about 2 months until today. Not only do I have dust underneath my screen again and now my mic is probably busted. The other person on the line cannot hear me but I could here them.

I had so much expectations with this phone and I truly do love this phone but HTC's build quality is horrible. I have never had so much problems with 1 single phone. I'm going to go into a Sprint store to see if they can fix it but if they can't, I might just be done with this phone. Free hotspot is not worth all the headache & wasted time this phone has caused me.

Lol... how are you getting a free hotspot? I know in 2.1, there's that bug that lets you tether for free on 4g, but maybe... I don't know.

I have to agree, build quality for the Evo is notably poor. I think there have been Chinese iPhone clones made better than this.

Danger, watch your threads tonight, these mods are awful move happy for the moment being!

Okay a little update for anyone who still reads this thread which is probably not many. I got a new EVO about 2 weeks ago from the sprint store. Opened it up in the store and tested out the phone and guess what? Broken ear piece. The tech just swapped my old one's ear piece and put it into the new one. Had this phone for about 2 weeks now and now I see dust collecting on the top left under neath the screen. I think the dust collection is a wide spread problem. I've already have 2 evo's that had this problem.
