Might be old news. UK Release Date

Yeah its brown / copper. Liking it so far, it's a big change from my old phone - a HTC Magic running 1.6. I think the screen is gorgeous and I'm enjoying the speed as apps and the internet were quite laggy on my magic. Still getting used to HTC Sense, but like it. Not 100% sure about syncing contacts with Facebook and Twitter. That all looks a bit messy, but i havent really looked at the options yet.

great stuff hoping to get mine tomorrow or wed cant wait!

I've just called up my local Phones 4U and they have the HTC Desire HD in stock and available to buy outright! Simfree price is 450 and colour is dark brown/copper. At first she said i couldn't buy it simfree because it's brand new and just been released and i would have to wait 3-4 weeks but i told her i had called up other Phones4U shops and they said i could buy it simfree there and then (i lied!), so she put me on hold to double check. 30 seconds later she said yes i can come in and buy the phone simfree, not a problem at all! Hahaha! Result!!!

My advice, go to Phones4U pronto!!!!!

Thanks for your email David, asking me when the new HTC Desire HD will be delivered.

I really appreciate your interest in using the new HTC Desire HD.

I tried calling you today to discuss about this on but I wasn't able to reach you.

I spoke to our relevant department and have been advised that your contract has been cancelled as we've received the handset (HTC Desire) and all the applicable charges will be adjusted on the next bill by SAP.

David, I'd request you to call our telesales team, so that you can order a new HTC Desire HD.

You can call them on 0845 412 2212 from Monday to Friday between 8am and 9pm, Saturday and Sunday between 8am and 8pm.

Thanks again for your email David and I hope you'll find this information useful.

If you have any further queries, please feel free to email me or visit our help and support section by clicking here.

Kind regards

message:Hi
I'm just wondering when I can expect the arrival of my HTC Desire HD? I ordered over a week ago now and was sent the normal Desire by accident which I sent back to you. Just would like a rough estimate of arrival so I can make sure someone is home to sign for it.
Thanks,

Thanks for nothing T-Mob,ringing them now to sort this

oh my word. With me sending back the original Desire which they sent me by accident,it started a process of cancellation, so now I've got no contract with T-Mobile and if I want the HD I've got to sign up all over again.I won't be charged,to make sure of that I've cancelled the Direct Debit, bunch of idiots. Also on the phone then they said they won't have it till the 1st Nov

Pretty disgusting if you ask me, their f*ck up and it's you that suffers. You should try and mind out the email of their top brass and write and complain, you may get a months free line rental or something like that (if indeed you do decide to go with them)

I've just been into P4U and they said they had none left after selling a few on Saturday. They asked me if i wanted a contract or just the handset, in which i replied that i just wanted the handset and they told me they would have some on Wednesday.

Im currently stuck in a 18 month contract with Orange with about 12 months still to go with a Hero. Anyone know of how i could cancel the contract or know of any schemes that will take on the contract for me, for example move the contract with P4U??

I've got till the 15th Nov to find a new phone because my Orange contract I cancelled yesterday,I just can't be bothered now though even hunting down a HD,truely gutted over it all.I'll just wait till it comes out now and there is decent stock I think and just pick one up,all my excitement has been shot down

I'd imagine that if you are desperate for the DHD, Orange will let you pay up the 12 months on the spot. Would be pricey though, probably as much as buying a sim free one in fact
