My LG Ally is stuck at the "VELOCITY" boot screen and is stuck in a loop. I had Velocity 0.3 flashed yesterday and I decided to re-flash today. I have tried wiping data/files/cache/dalvik cache. I'm stuck and I don't know what to do. Also I never did a Nandroid backup (because I'm slow).

I tried that...re-downloaded velocity 0.3 and the same thing happened. So I decided to flash 0.2 just to see if it would work. 0.2 had the same loop at the "Droid" screen. Then I tried 0.1.1 and thankfully that worked fine. So for now I have 0.1.1 completely working until I can figure this 0.3/0.2 problem.

Yes repartition the card but set both values to 0. Just make sure you have all your apps backed up first. Then try installing the rom. Then you can set up a2sd again. I ran into this with my eris.

Sorry, what values? When I partition with ROM Manager it asks for 'Ext Size'. Also, I thought that apps2sd was automatically set with Velocity 0.3. I am a little confused when you say "set up a2sd again". Btw, I have no important apps right now so no reason to backup.

Not sure what to tell you. Sometimes my V0.3 gets stuck in the Velocity screen loop and I just have to pull the battery and restart and it's fine. Seems to happen most when I remove or replace the SD card, maybe something to do with app2sd. Is your SD card working well?

I have the same problem... happens sporadically. Seems to happen when I've removed the SD card or sometimes when I have my ally plugged into the computer (but i have not mounted the sd card). Seems to be an a2sd as previously stated.

I haven't been able to figure out enough information about it to submit it to Trident as a bug report

Hello, i readsomewhere that if you have a class 4 sd card and you format/partition the card with Rom Manager that you set the swap EXT (Second set of numbers) to 0, because it can cause a problem trying to swap/read both parts of the card....set the first EXT to whatever you want then 0 and that should fix the problem also.

I am a Noob at flashing roms and still can't get past the boot loop after flashing velocity 0.3 release or 0.4 Release. Used Super one click to root from my computer, Found and put Superuser.apk on sd card then installed, Got Rom Manager 4.3.3.0 (Free Version,Not Upgraded Premium), Flashed Clockworkmod Recovery 2.5.0.7,Fixed Permissions, rebooted, Tried to backed up Current Rom Little Andriod with the ! showed for a second the booted normal. Tried again, same result. Manually turned my phone off and tried to boot into recovey (power+menu+send) Same result...Any ideas?

Use the 2.2 root guide… or go to GetItNowMarketings's sub forum in android development/custom ROMs and flash the recovery manually with instructions there. Are you on 2.1 or 2.2? 2.1 is velocity .1-.4 and 2.2 is 1.0 and 1.1. Another peice of advice, dont use ROM manager or ClockWorkMod Recovery. Use gnm's amonra recovery.
