Been there. Did that. 21 year old daughter, you know. If I didn't shell out all this money for tuition and room and board and stuff, I'd be rich.

My parents are covering 1 out-of-state tuition, 1 private medical graduate tuition, 2 room and boards, hefty allowances, and any other costs. My brother has been doing his part for the last 13 years (started college at 18 and is now 31) and I'll be in school for about the next 7-8 years. I'm sure when we're both completely finished and on our own, my parents are going to be like "We could've bought our tickets to heaven if we didn't have them."

PS: When I ran my first marathon, my daughter was about the same age. It was the NYC marathon. She wanted me to win it!
