Help Angry Birds

Yes, anther Angry Birds thread. I'm mostly loving the game, but I seem to be having a display issue. In walkthroughs/demos I've seen, there are dark brown(?) earthworks. On my Moment though, they're the same color (white) as the background, so basically invisible. Anyone else having that issue?
Forgot to mention I had the same problem in the beta. It's really annoying to have birds stopping in midair and not know why.

I see them too. It might be due to our Moments being not powerful enough to render some of the graphics. My friends EVO has no issues.

After installing Angry Birds, Moment became sluggish even when I was not playing the game. At 12MB+, the game brought Moment's free memory to below 20% capacity. I uninstalled Angry Birds and will wait until I get the next generation phone.

My moment is running DI18-2.6.29 kernel (w/root) and the game performs flawlessly. I dont see any issues with lag, BUT the landscape is showing up white. Is that really just a rendering problem?

runs on my stock 2.1 moment just fine. i use task killer and kill anything before i run the game. maybe just a tiny bit of lag.

Any Heroes having problems? They're old and obsolete too, after all.

This is still a fun game, just made more challenging with the "camouflaged" landscape. "What did my bird just splat against?"

now that you mention it there's a thin layer of the landscape on top, green grass etc. below that is a whitish border that goes to the bottom of the screen. didn't think much of it. the game runs smooth.

LOL, this exactly. I feel super talented for getting through some of the levels... although the hours of my life wasted on this game are probably exponentially higher than those of people who can see the landscape properly!

It's not a bug, Rovio gave Moment users the extra challenge edition because you guys are that darned good!

Lol. I didn't realize that there was supposed to be backgrounds there other than the white. That explains a lot of the difficulty of some of the levels. Even with the white backgrounds, this is still a great game.

I'm also stuck on this level. I'm kind of pissed this game doesnt work on my phone. I'm addicted. It makes for a good time when I'm taking a shit at work.

I'm stuck on 3-19... I kill all the pigs, but then it says "level failed" and starts over. Argh.

You can email Rovio and let them know about the issues with graphics on the Moment. They had a blog post asking for feedback today, so I did.

I'm having exactly the same problems... white blocks blend into the background, so I can't see where the gaps are; I've made it to 2-20 by getting lucky with where my birds fall. - But I would appreciate it if the graphics rendered properley!

I'm using HTC Hero with Android 2.1 (u1) - All other apps are killed when playing Angry Birds.

Come-on Rovio! - Fix it!

I was reading over on sdx that rooting and installing the right video drivers will enable it to display Angry Birds properly. To think a game may be the incentive needed to finally get me to root. If Samsung had just implimented the opengl hardware rendering (or anything-lol) properly in the first place...

use the GL drivers from samdroid - basically, you need to replace your /system/lib/egl/libGLESv1_CM_fimg.so file and those brown textures will appear.

angry birds does not show up in the market on my rooted moment and when I installed the apk the screen goes black then back to home screen again, any suggestions?

That did it for me! I wound up rooting and was hoping that Radioactive 193 would be enough, but did have to install those new gl drivers.

And all for a game.

I just updated to 1.9.3 from 1.9.0 and now I have all the backgrounds just fine- makes for a much better gaming experience. I personally didn't have to install anything on top of 1.9.3.

I didn't think I'd need to. Wonder if I did something wrong. Everything else seems to be working. If I'm bored at work tomorrow maybe I'll try it again.
