Help Having trouble getting music on my phone :(

I can't get doubleTwist (kept freezing while synch iTunes stuff) or Kies (won't connect with my phone) to put music on my phone. I'm running a PC with Vista and my phone is stock. As far as I know my phone is fully updated (firmware, etc.). What do you guys use to manage media on the Captivate?

Are you trying to copy music as a windows MTP / plays for sure device? Are you running Launcher Pro or some other app launcher? I think MTP mode only works if you are running TouchWiz as your launcher.

Did you install the Captivate USB drivers? There should be a link for them around some place.

Awesome thanks! BTW the FAQ says that you should mount/unmount your drives when connecting the USB but in the USB FAQ it says that the galaxy S doesn't need to do this. thoughts?

Can you quote the specific area? I'm missing the contradiction.

On the Captivate, you must do the "mount" for it to appear. On the PC, you should use the OS's own unmount/disconnect to be safe and avoid possible data loss.
