Help Can't download MMS

i cant seem to download any mms thats sent to me. i'll click on "download" on my handcent and the stock messaging app and it'll say "downloading" for 10 seconds and change back to "download". my wifi isnt on, i updated my prl and profile as well.

i'm currently on fresh 3.3 rom with stock kernel. any ideas?
