Desire returned for repair. Should I...

It's been gone six days now. Six days with no Desire and a crappy old Nokia. I thought I could cope. I mean, how bad could it be. Its only a phone. G-g-g-going c-c-c-cold t-t-t-turkey can't be that bad.

So, should I just wait it out (the Nokia doesn't even have a camera ffs) or buy an Orange San Francisco (

I think ultimately it depends on money. I mean if my desire was away for repair and I was using a crappy old nokia, sure I would be tempted to buy a san francisco just for a laugh and to practice rooting etc. It seems to be a great phone and a bargain at that price, plus a handy spare. But realistically, I wouldn't as I don't have

I cracked the screen on my Desire on friday, phoned Orange Care on friday night, and they had replacement Desire to me on Saturday afternoon.

Excellent service from Orange Care.

I had to wait nearly 4x weeks for HTC to fix a non existent motherboard problem (I knew what the fault was and it wasn't the mobo )

So I would say stick it out ... be strong.

My Desire went back to HTC for repair 3 weeks ago, I have a crappy old motorola as a standby phone that can make calls AND send text messages, it even has a colour screen! memory is full tho with 20 text messages and it takes 2 days to send a text. I'm going out of my tiny little mind! I miss my desire so much and they have said it could be a further 2 weeks till i have her safely home, so I would do whatever it takes to numb the pain my friend, personally I have taken to drinking, heavily!

I had a nightmare with them telling me several times they were on with the repair only to be told when I enquired next it's waiting for yet another part.

But I did get a 4GB SD as compensation, which went well with the identical one EVERYONE gets with the phone when they buy it.

Fingers crossed the OPs finds it's way back quicker
