Help Text alert while on a call

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that they removed the text alert while on the phone w the recent 3.29.651.5 update? They added it to the update before this, but then removed it again on the the up to date software. I can't find anywhere on this forum where anyone else cares about this removal. Just thought I'd see if I'm the only one who misses this feature lol. And yes, I'm aware of Handcent and Chomp but I really prefer stock. If anyone has any suggestions or knows something I don't about making stock msg alert you while on a call please lmk: thanks for the help, and this forum RULES!!!!!

That's another one of the 50/50. Half the people like it..half don't. No idea if there is a way to re enable it

AGREED. Its annoying, when I am on a call and the SMS notification goes off...

that is his gripe...it now doesn't go off at all

So the newest update a few weeks ago, did that remove the sound entirely? Like it doesnt even beep anymore? I havent gotten a text while on a phone call yet since the update. I think i remember before froyo it would just make a faint beep, which was perfect. Then after froyo it played the whole notification very loudly. I woul dlove to have just the beep back.

yep. they took it away just like they randomly added it previously. And I totally agree with having it back, or make it an option to satisfy those who don't want it
