Was looking to take a leak went to Burger King they tell me I need to be a customer and I don't want nothing to eat so I left. Went to the armory where the Soldiers are at to see if they had a public restroom and they don't they said why not use the Burger King I said I went there they told me I need to be a customer.

Guy tells me to come with him he'll take care of it we go into Burger King and we walk right up to the register, he tells the woman let me speak to your manager now. Manager comes, he explains to her I need to use the bathroom and that I'm an American citizen blah blah blah and she lets me use it >_>

****ing awesome.

I couldn't help but, laugh..

I personally feel like a jerk if I ever go to use the bathroom and there is nothing I want.. but, when I am hunched over in pain because, I need to get to the bathroom.. I am not exactly thinking "oh man let me get some coffee.. that'll losen my bowels even more!"

Hell.. Recently.. I was on the way to school and my stomach bottomed out.. so I pull over at a mcdonalds I always pass and its 6 or so in the morning.. I notice there is no one in the restaurant besides employee's walking back and forth to get stuff unloaded off of a truck..

I was going to walk in no matter what XD.. "sir we aren't", "IDGAF!" bad when you are sitting there thinking, you'll kill someone if you have to but, your getting to the bathroom no matter what..

some of these establishments have locks on the restroom doors. i think its to preveny homeless people from having gangbangs, like in the movie "the other guys"
What really? LOL i have been to so many fast food places around the country never seen a lock.. only at gas stations where the bathroom is like out back where it cant be monitored. Regardless that sucks. I guess I travel to gangbang friendly states.. or states where there are many unoccupied Prius.

Everyone who has posted in this topic needs to go to the app market and download "Sit and squat". It is a lifesaver as it uses GPS to show you the nearest public restroom to your current location! :D

I'd prefer to not have that incase someone looks through my apps and sees it and then questions why I wanted it in the first place. lol

I don't even ask to go to the restroom. You can just go in and go right back out. They shouldn't be able to force to buy something if you don't want to. It's a public restroom.. :|

I don't see how a washroom in a private establishment would be considered public? The government does not own the bathrooms to the restaurants/fast food chains.

One of my friend says that when she needs to go to the washroom, she goes to the restaurant, walks up to the front desk person (i forget what they are called) and tells her that her friend is already there. Then goes to the bathroom, walks out telling the front desk person that her friend is not there and she'll wait for them outside.

Very true. Try using the bathroom in a bank and demand that you have the right to because it's public. There's a reason why banks don't even let you see where the bathroom is and say no, even if you're a customer.

Just because I have a restroom for my clients, doesn't mean that I shouldn't be forced by law to allow everyone to use it.

The best and really what a person should do after using the bathroom in a food establishment like McDonalds or Starbucks is to purchase something, even if its really small.

I've had small retail stores in three different states and in each one I had to have "handicap accessible" restrooms, and though I didn't have to advertise the fact that I had one, I was not allowed by law to refuse to let people use it if they asked. Now a lot of stores ignored this I know, and it wasn't enforced much, but the health law was there anyway. Now establishments that sell food have to have public restrooms marked such in an obvious way. Maybe it depends on State or County laws.

Eeek. My 2nd line was badly written, I'll change it. It was a hypothetical where I was trying to say that I shouldn't be forced to allow everyone to use my restroom when they'd like to.
