i went from a centro to the hero and wow i can actually surf the net. some of yall complain about the hero...the centro is like sending smoke signals!

anyway im just wondering if anyone else is one the SERO plan, upgraded to an adroid phone and is also paying $10 more a month.

i used to pay basically $30 for unlimited everything, 500 mins, and nights at 7. sprint told me i had to pay an additional $10 a month now that im upgrading to the hero and the android market/phone! so the thought of paying another $10 for the evo AND the $200 i said no thanks and stuck with the hero.

paying the extra $10 sucks, but considering i now have a phone that can actually get the internet and fast (plus gps turn and all that good stuff) it might be worth it.

yeah they just recently added $10 to the android phones. before it was an add on so that you had the navigation and sprint tv stuff. I had removed it from mine once we got upgraded to android 2.1 since it had free navigation included. Unfortunately it is no longer an option it is a must

So, are you saying that the $10 add on is on top of the regular fees for the SERO plans?
It has been widely discussed that the 4G phones (EVO, EPIC) require the $10 monthly fee, but this is the first I have heard of the fee on Android phones.

Or are you saying that they require you to get the Unlimited data plans with Android phones? ...which has always been the case, as far as I remember.

SERO didn't include the data package, right? the hero does require the data package.

yes my sero plan with the palm centro included unlimited everything...including data. but the data was basically worthless with the centro cause it is gawd awful for the internet. i only ever used it for checking football scores. and forget about navigation...i don't even think the centro has navi.

anyway back to the point. it stinks having to now pay $40 a month but i now have a phone that can actually surf the net...and pretty damn fast at it. plus, i love knowing i have GPS. if i root my hero i can save maps on the SD card so all ill need is the satellites if im in the boonies right?

i think i would average maybe 1,500 kbs or mbs (whatever the bites are) a month and now i just checked my sprint account...it said in the 3 weeks ive had my hero i've downloaded 42K!

so for me to buy the evo and pay another $10 on top of the $10 im already being charged for upgrading from the centro, the evo would have to change my kids diapers!!

HERO: im lovin it :D
