Help accelerometer lag?

this might have been asked many times but I've searched and searched and can't seem to find the answer. is anyone else experiencing a bit of a lag when switching from portrait to landscape on the phone? and if so, is there anyways to improve it (without rooting, I'm still debating on this option)? does anyone know if froyo will fix lags like this in the future?

thanks!

Well its not immediate per se but if you are taking more than a second yeah you might have an issue. So I'd guess I'd ask you for a definition of a bit of a lag. Froyo should help a bit, voodoo [requires root] helps a bit, OCing helps a bit.

hmm I'd say no more than a second. so in other words not immediate is what I was considering a lag. haha I guess I just have too high expectations when it comes to gadgets sometimes.

I don't know if this question will make one of the guides boot it to the "all things root" section, but do you need to be really tech savvy to root? I've perused through some of that section of the forum and got intimidated. i just don't want to end up with a tragic story and brick my phone...

In all honestly rooting is so so easy. Including the time to DL all the necessary driver et al its honestly a five minute process. If you choose to do it you will be stunned afterwards how simple it was. Like anything when you are new to a new situation intimidation is a natural feeling. We've all been there, its ok. Its also OK to choose to not root and just use your phone as is. The beauty of the Android platform is there is a lot of customization and there are many ways to do the same thing. Read up on it. There are numerous links in the root section. If you still have question fire off a PM to someone or create a thread. There are at least 2 dozen guys and gals in here which I would call experts and very knowledgeable and could easily guide you thru the process, if and when you are ready to make that move :)
