Is there something I am not finding, I like to have Google as my home page and at times I want to bounce back to the home Google page to start a new search, I have to go back to my favorites and pull the google page back from there. Is there a trick to make the browser go back to the established home page from within the standard browser interface so that it is not a multiple click task?

Im afraid there isnt Larry. Best option is the 2 click option it sounds like we both have. One hit the bookmarks and two hit google. FWIW, you might try setting bgoog.com as your home page, its mine and its just google with a black background so it seems to load faster than the white google and use less battery since its black

Now thats with the stock browser of course. If you use Xscope [not sure about Dolphin] then you can set bgoog as your home page and xscope does give you the menu at the bottom thats always there if you choose it to be and then you can have a one stock click to go to your home page; in this case google or bgoog if you set it as that.
xscope is popular but Im still used to the stock and I didnt like dolphin. I should try to adapt to xscope as it seems to have the potential to be better than stock. Im just not used to it yet

You can either go Menu > New Window or Menu > Windows and X the page you are on. Both will give you a clean window at your homepage, but the second is a little cleaner.
That is a nice trick OTD but knowing the cheese King...I mean Larry he literally wants a one touch trick. Xscope gives it you/him/us but I dont think that stock browser does

Why do so many browsers not have homepage buttons, it doesn't make any sense and is VERY annoying.

After tabbed browsers became the norm I think most developers figured they weren't that important. I use chrome and firefox and can honestly say that I have not used a home button in over 5 years. When I want my home page I just open a new tab.
